Size Guide
Please note that the breed guide is a suggestion only and I would always recommend measuring your dog to ensure that the coat you purchase is a good fit.
* Please note that the length of the coat will be slightly longer than the length in the chart below as the coat is sloped at the back to provide cover for the rear of your dog. For example, the Intermediate coat is made to suit a dog with a back length of approx 54cm, but the length of the coat is 57cm.
If your dog has an upright tail please leave a note in the comments box at checkout and the coat will be made without the extra sloping, and will match the length in the chart below.

Materials and Care
Wash your raincoat with a specialist waterproof cleaning product such as Nikwax or Grangers. Don’t use fabric softeners or conditioners.
To reactivate the waterproof coating after washing, tumble dry on a warm low setting
for 20 minutes, or iron on a warm no steam setting with a cloth or towel between the
coat and iron to protect the fabric.
If rain stops beading and rolling off the fabric then it is also time to reproof the coat.
Nikwax and Grangers also make reproofing products -follow the manufacturers

The Morlich dog raincoat has been updated! Same shape and design but made with a new fantastic fabric and new vibrant colours!
Made from a tough but soft shell fabric with a DWR coating (durable water repellent), a waterproof membrane and then lined with your choice of a breathable waterproof lightweight lining or a warmer polar fleece lining.

Fit
The coats slip over your dogs head and have an elasticated v-neck for ease of putting on and off and for a more comfortable fit. They have an underbelly strap to keep the chest nice and dry, and fasten with a buckle and adjustable strap around the dog's middle.
All the raincoats now come with a zipped harness hole so that your dog can wear their harness under the jacket.
Should you intend on using a harness under the jacket, then please measure your dog when wearing it as this may affect the most suitable size of coat. Harnesses with handles on them are not suited to be worn under the coat.
They have colour co-ordinated elastic leg straps which are sewn within the same peached fabric as the main body to ensure that the elastic doesn't catch on your dog's fur.

This is second jacket. They continue to be of excellent quality and hard wearing enough to last through the Scottish weatger

This is the first coat that properly fits my chihuahua - if a standard size fits round his middle it's far too long.
It's easy to put on, properly protects him from the rain, is soft enough that it doesn't restrict his movement and looks good.
This review is well overdue. Here goes. I bought the first coat around 3 years ago to take on our hikes, so that one spends most of its time in my rucksack. I decided on a custom coat from Angi because my dog is a cross breed.....she has the length of a Collie but the girth of a Staffie so "off the peg" coats just don`t fit that well. That first coat has been worn many times in light rain for short periods and has been great.....perfect fit too.
Now......I wanted a better coat for our local walks around the lanes where we live. I decided another coat of this value was overkill so turned to Amazon. I ended up buying 3 £20+ coats. I gave one away, returned 1 and have one upstairs until I decide what to do with it. Should have just bought another Morlich coat!! Now today, we got caught in a good downpour for just over an hour, followed by drizzle for the next 20 minutes and....the coat was wet through...not soaking but.....not dry. For me that`s acceptible as we rarely get caught in weather that bad for that long so not an issue. If you go for day hikes in the rain then it will let water through. So from my experience, not 100% waterproof (but unless you but 3 layer Gore Tex nothing is). Having said that....I`d recommend 100%, purely for the fit alone. I hope this doesn`t come across as negative as it`s not intended to....just my honest opinion from my experience. Would I buy another? Yep!
Thanks for great review Steve - glad your very pleased with the fit of the coat. The waterproofness of the fabric does have it's limitations unfortunately but its absolutely fine for your average rainfall. I am actively trialling waterproof fabrics with higher hydrostatic heads though that may be more suited to heavier more prolonged downpours so watch this space!
Had a coat that was starting to get a bit shabby , bought a new one from what I thought was a uk company but no zip failed with a week! Found freckles design and ordered a made to measure love it perfect fit and on first outing very wet and muddy Brilliant thanks for the great service
